(VOVworld) – A range of activities will be held in early March to introduce Vietnamese literature to international friends. They will include the 3rd conference on Vietnamese literary promotion, the 2nd Asia-Pacific Poetry Festival, and the 13th Vietnamese Poetry Day.

Organizers told reporters on Monday that the events, in Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, and Hanoi, will welcome 30 local poet clubs in Vietnam and 200 foreign poets, writers, and translators.
Poet Huu Thinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers' Association, said:“Our Association has organized numerous international events but this year’s Asia-Pacific Poetry Festival is the biggest ever. Vietnam is the only country in the world that has a poetry day.”
A ceremony praising Vietnamese literature as a symbol of desire for freedom, happiness, and independence will kick start the series of events.
