During his business trip to Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday, Prime Minister Chinh inspected the project and assigned Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh to direct the project’s implementation. He assigned the Ministry of National Defense to assume the prime responsibility for land allocation in order to complete the land handover for the project this month.

In 2020, the Government approved the investment policy to build a terminal to ease overload at Tan Son Nhat Airport. The new terminal is designed to have a capacity of 20 million passengers per year. It will take 37 months to complete the project.
