PM Pham Minh Chinh addresses the forum.

At an online ASEAN high-level forum on subregional cooperation for sustainable development and inclusive growth, Mr. Chinh said that countries need a global, all-people approach in response to global challenges, particularly COVID-19, climate change, environmental pollution, and water resource security. 

He noted that governments will support businesses in seeking business and investment opportunities in subregions. 

“It’s necessary to increase connectivity between subregions to narrow the development gap, promote economic integration, digital transformation, people-to-people exchange, and facilitate people’s movement and goods transport,” said Mr. Chinh.

The Prime Minister suggested that ASEAN’s cooperation programs and the results of ASEAN’s cooperation with partners include subregions and closely link subregional cooperation.
