At a reception for Lao Minister of Home Affairs Khammanh Sounvileuth in Hanoi on Friday, Mr. Phuc said that given the state apparatus’s crucial role, both sides need learn from each other’s experience to reduce the number of people paid by State budget, while improving the quality of State employees. He expressed his hope that the 2 ministries will continue their practical cooperation and experience sharing.

The Lao Minister said his visit aims to increase cooperation with Vietnam’s Ministry of Home Affairs and that his ministry hopes to receive Vietnam’s assistance in the organization of state apparatus and administration.

Also on Friday, Prime Minister Phuc met a delegation of the  Vietnam Association of the Elderly and outstanding senior citizens, who represent more than 10 million elderly people of Vietnam on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons and the month of action for Vietnamese seniors for 2017.
