Speaking at a government meeting in Hanoi, PM Phuc said Vietnam must be protected from virus penetration from outside, while outbreaks inside the country must be contained.

He added that during this “golden period” of curbing Covid-19, all resources must be mobilized. The Prime Minister repeated that he declared Covid-19 a nationwide epidemic and ordered ministries and sectors to be well-prepared for the worst scenarios.

He said Republic of Korean President Moon-Jae-in told him on the phone that quick test is a good way to detect coronavirus. The Prime Minister asked the government members to consider whether quick test will be applied in Vietnam, especially in big cities.
