PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc concludes Japan trip

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has concluded a trip to attend the G20 Summit in Osaka and pay an official visit to Japan at the invitation of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

As a guest of the G20 Summit, he participated in all discussions and added his opinions to the summit’s draft joint statement. Mr. Phuc had meetings with G20 leaders and international organizations, who lauded the role and prestige of Vietnam in the region and expressed their hope of closer partnership with Vietnam for peace, stability, cooperation, and development.

During talks with Prime Minister Abe, Mr. Phuc said Vietnam considers Japan an important and reliable long-term partner.  The two leaders agreed to work together to implement Japan’s ODA projects in Vietnam and promote bilateral cooperation in the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) format.

PM Phuc met representatives of 25 leading Japanese technology firms for a round-table discussion, and attended an investment promotion conference with 1,200 business reps from the two countries.
