There are more than 22 million schoolchildren or 25% of the Vietnamese population receiving health care at school.

In his address, the Prime Minister reiterated the Party and State’s special care for education, training, protection and healthcare of the people, particularly children.

"For each of us and the whole society, health is the most precious treasure. It’s of profound importance to protect and improve the health of nearly 23 million schoolchildren who are our future generation. The protection and health care for children is responsibility of families, the whole society, and the entire political system," said Prime Minister Chinh.

The Prime Minister asked the Ministry of Education and Training to ensure the safe, flexible reopening of schools. He said the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Training need to work closely to ensure nutrition for children in different regions. The two ministries are asked to work with other ministries, sectors and localities to vaccinate children 5 to 12 in a safe and effective manner.
