PM Chinh and his Lao counterpart underlined the need to constantly nurture and consolidate the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, particularly amid unpredictable regional and global developments. They agreed that Vietnam and Laos should continue to promote coordination and mutual support at international forums.

Prime Minister Chinh and Cambodian Prime Minister Hunsen stressed the strategic importance of maintaining and reinforcing friendly neighborliness and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations. PM Chinh reaffirmed Vietnam’s support for Cambodia’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2022 and spoke highly of Cambodia’s effort to accelerate the implementation of ASEAN’s 5-point consensus on the Myanmar issue.

The New Year festival, called Bunpimay in Laos and Chol Chnam Thmay in Cambodia, takes place in April every year, featuring traditional culture and water splashing traditions to wash away bad luck and pray for a good new year.
