Mr. Phuc said consolidating national unity and upholding Vietnamese culture and social values are of great importance and the primary mission of the political system.

“The nation’s biggest resource is the nearly 100 million compatriots of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. National unity has created strength in the struggle for national liberation and ending Vietnam’s phase of lagging behind economically.

"We need to continue to promote the great unity, constantly evoke the aspiration, will, and national pride of the people, exploit the potential and strength of the people for rapid, sustainable economic growth, and put our country firmly on the path that the Party and President Ho Chi Minh have chosen,” he said. 

The PM praised Vietnam’s recent socio-economic achievements, saying they were due in large part to the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and member organizations of the national unity bloc. He urged the Front to continue upholding national unity, so that all 54 ethnic groups, regardless of locale, develop equally under the motto “No one is left behind.”
