Mr. Phuc was speaking at the Vietnam Tourism Human Resources Forum 2019 held in Ho Chi Minh city on Friday by the Hoa Sen University and the municipal Department of Tourism. Prime Minister Phuc raised questions to delegates: “We are worried about whether Vietnam has enough human resources to meet the needs of the tourism sector. To answer this question, we need to put another question: Is the tourism sector attractive enough to attract talents and skillful labor force from other countries? Policies on training, preferences, and career development will decide our capability to attract human resources. I believe that the best tourism companies or business models will give the best answers to the questions. So the workplace and its human resource development policy are important.”

He lauded the efforts for the implementation of the project, which links Ben Thanh Market in District 1 up with Suoi Tien Tourism Park in District 9. Metro Line No.1 is the first of eight metro lines planned in the southern metropolis, with a total length of about 220 km and accumulated funding of nearly 25 billion USD.  By now, up to 60 percent of the workload has been fulfilled and the construction is expected to be completed in 2020.
