According to Chinese data, bilateral trade reaches 120 billion USD per year and Vietnam is China’s largest trade partner in ASEAN. Mr. Phuc underlined agriculture as Vietnam’s advantage edge with the exports of 20 agricultural products worth 1 billion USD each. He said: “China is now the biggest market for Vietnam’s agricultural produce with this year’s agro-forestry-seafood export turnover estimated to exceed 35 billion USD, 9% higher than last year. Many Vietnamese agricultural products are favored by the Chinese. But they have penetrated mostly in southern provinces of Yunnan and Guangxi. It means we need better cooperation. Vietnam has high export deficit with China and China needs to import Vietnamese products, first of all agricultural products, towards trade balance.”
