The PM highlighted the solidarity and mutual support of people across the country in overcoming these difficulties and affirmed that the joint efforts of the government, local authorities, and the people will create the strength needed to overcome all challenges, starting with addressing the aftermath of recent typhoon Kalmaegi.

“First and foremost, we must rebuild houses for families whose homes were destroyed or collapsed, repair damaged houses, restore transportation, healthcare, and educational infrastructure, ensure the full recovery of electricity and telecommunications, and quickly carry out environmental sanitation,” said PM Chinh.
Drawing lessons from the recent storms, Mr. Chinh urged Gia Lai province to restructure residential areas and service and business zones, encouraging people to live further inland to ensure safety. He called for the implementation of resettlement areas and preparations to support the people during the upcoming Tet.

On the same day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held a working session with the Gia Lai Border Guard Command.
