The dialogue focused on three topics: education and training for the building of high-quality young human resources meeting requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, improving physical health and the cultural and spiritual life of the youth, and creating an environment for the young to make self-improvement, start careers, and innovate.
The PM said he wants Vietnamese youth to further promote the pioneering spirit in five areas. These are pioneering in learning, making self-improvement, improving their mettle and will; working, doing business, making innovation in the Industry 4.0 era; safeguarding national independence, socialism, sovereignty, and territorial integrity; and promoting integration into the world so that international friends can see that young Vietnamese not inferior to any others in terms of will, wisdom, virtues, sentiment, and sincerity, and pioneering in fighting corruption, negative phenomena, as well as hostile forces, especially harmful information and distortions.
“Youth in today's era must have goals and ideals. Second is to have the desire to rise up anytime, anywhere. Third is steadfastness in all circumstances. Fourth is strong creativity in the Industry 4.0 era. Fifth is responsibility to yourself, to family and society. Sixth, dedicate yourself to the strong and prosperous Vietnam to the happiness and well-being of the Vietnamese people. I believe that the younger generation will be able to do this,” he said.
The Prime Minister answered young people’s questions such as on housing policies and incentives for innovation and start-ups. He emphasized the vital role that young people play in the cause of national construction and defense. The Party and State always believe in the youth, care for them and seek the most effective solutions to encourage the tireless dedication of young people, he said.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister gave gifts to 10 typical young Vietnamese and 10 promising young Vietnamese in 2022.
