PM arrives in Papua New Guinea for 26th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc arrived in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea on Saturday to attend the 26th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting on November 17-18 at the invitation of Papua New Guinea’s Prime Minister Peter  O’Neill.

He was welcomed at the airport by Papua New Guinea’s Deputy Prime Minister Charles Abel, Minister in charge of APEC Tkatchenko, the Mayor of Port Moresby, and Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Quoc Khanh.

Prime Minister Phuc is scheduled to meet Papua New Guinea’s Prime Minister on Saturday. He will later attend the welcoming ceremony for APEC leaders, the Dialogue of the APEC Business Advisory Council, the Group Dialogue, and the Dialogue between APEC leaders and Leaders of Pacific island countries, and meet Vanuatu's Prime Minister and the US Congress Alliance.

The Prime Minister will also attend the Dialogue between APEC Leaders and the IMF and a number of closed meetings of APEC leaders.
