On Sunday, 9,000 locals received their second shots. Pham Thuy Dung, a resident of Phu Nhuan district who got the 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccine, said, “As I’ve received the 2nd dose, I am now able to go out, but I haven't been out and about yet, because the current pandemic situation is still not completely okay. So, I hope that many people think like me to refrain from becoming a burden on the health industry.”
People who want to be vaccinated can call directly to the ward or send a message to register with the residential group, ward or district. Even people without registration can still get vaccinated.
According to the Center for Disease Control of Ho Chi Minh City (HCDC), by October 2, 10.79 million doses were administered, or 95.8% of people aged 18 years and older. Meanwhile, 3.89 people were injected 2nd shots, or 54% of people aged 18 years and older.
