At a meeting in Hanoi Friday,  Deputy Prime Minister Dung, who is also the Chairman of the National Committee for Search and Rescue, called for strict implementation of the 24-hour on duty in all localities to cope with natural disasters. He also urged for efforts to promptly search, rescue, and evacuate people who live in areas vulnerable to floods and erosions. The Deputy Prime Minister also called for increased international cooperation and metrological data sharing to enhance forecast capability.
