President Quang said the Party has aimed to build special administrative-economic units to attract investment, promote sustainable development, and ensure national defense, security, and sovereignty. He said the draft Law on special administrative and economic units is new, complicated, and unprecedented and includes many breakthroughs in the organizational structure and development orientations amid complex regional and global situations.

President Quang said the newly-adopted Cyber Security Law will help prevent and combat the use of cyberspace to violate national security, and sabotage internal affairs and national unity.

At the meeting, President Quang answered voters’ questions on fighting corruption, improving educational quality, and preventing landslide in the Mekong Delta.

Meeting voters in Long An province on Monday, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh affirmed Vietnam’s determination to safeguard national sovereignty and interests while addressing the construction of special administrative-economic zones. He said that the State and local authorities will closely supervise the selection of investors into these zones.

The same day, Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilization Truong Thi Mai met voters in Lam Dong province and answered questions on the draft Law on Special Administrative-Economic Units.

"From now until October, the National Assembly will continue to listen to voters’ opinions on various issues including economic development, national sovereignty and security," Ms. Mai said.
