Mr. Binh described macro-economic stability as Vietnam’s greatest achievement in 2019. But, he said, more efforts should be made to ensure the domestic economy remains resilient to global shocks and to make the private sector a driving force of the national economy.

During the session, Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy said that meticulous preparations are underway for Vietnam to assume the role of the UN Security Council's non-permanent member in January, 2020.
