(VOVworld) - The Politburo of the Party Central Committee on Monday held a national personnel conference on criticism and self-criticism in Hanoi. Politburo member Le Hong Anh pointed out contents and tasks to carry out the drive. The Party Politburo and Secretariat have conducted self-check over the 4 day course and self-criticism and criticism over 12 days to find out strengths and weaknesses of individuals and collectives.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong underlined the significance of party building, including criticism and self-criticism: “This is an exceptionally important political drive to implement the resolution of the Party Central Committee’s 4^th plenum. We should focus on 3 most urgent issues. We should self-review objectively both strong points and shortcomings. We should also take responsibility instead of being ambiguous. This drive comprises of various inter-connected steps that need to be taken aggressively.”

Party leader Trong said criticism and self-criticism is just an initial step, as then lessons can be learned: “We are doing a sacred and momentous job. We also bear a great responsibility for the country, the nation and the party. What is said should be turned into action. At this time, we need to be wise, patient and strong to show the virtues of communists.”

The Party leader expressed his belief that the drive for criticism and self-criticism will be successful and increase trust of Party members and the people in both the Party and the State.
