At the meeting, voters expressed their confidence in the Party guidelines, the State policies, and the Party leadership. They expressed their delight with the improvement of the people’s living conditions and the rapid economic recovery as well as results of the fight against corruption.

Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong highlighted the country’s achievements and growing international status despite unprecedented fluctuations in the world.
He said Vietnam has never before had the strength and international position as it has today. He also briefed voters on the solutions to fight corruption and negativity.
The Party leader said: "Basically, we have settled all pending problems. Some individuals have gone abroad but they cannot run away from what they have done. The court had a trial in their absence. They are not Vietnamese citizens anymore. Under international law, Vietnam can continue the arrest procedures on these people. We will take resolute, stronger action."
