Party leader appeals for national unity in fighting COVID-19

(VOVWORLD) -  In his appeal to Vietnamese people at home and abroad, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has called for united efforts in Covid-19 prevention and control given the serious impact of the pandemic on public health as well as socio-economic development.

He urged the whole Party, army, and Vietnamese people at home and overseas to stay united in the pandemic prevention and control. He asked Party organizations, the government, and local administrations to be more resolute and determined, stay on high vigilance, and mobilize all possible resources to fight the pandemic creatively and efficiently. He hoped that with national unity and support from overseas Vietnamese and international friends, Vietnam will win the battle against COVID-19 to achieve a world of safety, peace, cooperation and prosperity.
