Addressing the closing ceremony of the 9th session of the 12th Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee on Wednesday, the Party leader and President emphasized on the supreme priority of national, people and Party interests as well as credibility and competence of each Party member and official. He urged them to be resolute in refuting wrongful arguments and schemes of hostile forces and bad elements, who seek to divide the Vietnamese nation.
Mr. Trong called for an all-out effort by all members of the Party Central Committee to join hands with the people and the army to achieve objectives set out for next year, a pivotal year in the 2016-2020 social economic development plan. He urged for the implementation of resolutions of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, and the government to create momentum for accomplishing tasks of 2019 and other tasks set out by the 12th National Party Congress.
The Party leader and President extended his New Year best wishes to all Vietnamese people at home and abroad.
The 2-day session recommended personnel who are planned to be members of the Party Central Committee for the 2021-2026 tenure.
