During his working session with provincial leaders on Thursday, the Party leader called for more efforts to achieve local socio-economic development targets by fully tapping the provincial potentials and promoting economic restructuring and poverty reduction, especially in ethnic mountainous areas. He said the provincial authorities should ensure successful implementation of ethnicity policies, control drug trafficking, and build up a borderline of peace and friendship with Laos.
