Paragliders race on Son Tra Peninsula

(VOVWORLD) - A paragliding tournament opened on the Son Tra Peninsula in Da Nang city on Saturday, attracting more than 100 Vietnamese and foreign fliers. Pilots raced from the top of the Son Tra mountain for accurate landing in 3 categories: men, women, and duos.

A paramotor show was a highlight of the opening ceremony. The tournament, entitled “Gliding over Tien Sa 2017”, aims to promote Danang’s tourism.

With a panoramic view of Danang city surrounded by mountain and forest, the Son Tra Peninsula is considered one of the best places in Vietnam for paragliding.
