At a reception for Ambassador Nguyen Phu Binh, President of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese, in Hanoi on Wednesday, Mr. Phuc said he hopes overseas Vietnamese will make an active contribution to national development. He called on the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese, and local authorities to make thorough preparations to give a warm welcome to Vietnamese who will return home for Lunar New Year celebrations.

Prime Minister said the Association needs to work with the government, Vietnamese embassies abroad, and related agencies to focus on young overseas Vietnamese by strengthening the teaching of Vietnamese language to them. He also called for more effort to attract the participation of overseas Vietnamese in preserving national identity.
