The festival, hosted by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, encourages youth creativity in science and technology. This year’s 28 outstanding projects and products are in the fields of technology, automation, healthcare, the environment and defense.
Le Thanh Xuan, a student from National University of Ho Chi Minh City said about her product: “Concerned about the current overcrowding of hospitals in Vietnam, I wanted to create a device that can do tests on the spot, in the patients’ home. Molecular biology tests using my device will be very accurate and will reduce the cost of testing. The normal molecular test is very expensive and difficult to perform for patients in remote areas.”
The 2018 National Creative Youth Festival drew more than 250 entries from all over Vietnam.
