Outstanding ethnic minority youths honored

(VOVWORLD) - One hundred and twenty outstanding ethnic minority students and youths were honored this year for their success in national competitions at a ceremony at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi, on Tuesday.

Addressing the event, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh said the Party and State considers education and training a way to reduce poverty and grow sustainably.

Mr. Binh said: “I hope you will always be self-confident and united, constantly better yourself, fully tap your creativity, and become useful citizens who will contribute to the nation. I strongly believe that with the tradition of fondness of learning and great efforts by both teachers and students, there will be more and more outstanding ethnic students who will bring fame to the nation.”

The same day, Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh met the 120 outstanding ethnic minority students and youths and said they are Vietnam’s future masters.
