At the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh said the Party and State always take care of ethnic people in remote areas. Their lives have improved significantly, particularly in education, according to Mr. Binh.
He said, “Authorities at all levels have encouraged organizations and philanthropists, schools and families, to create the best possible conditions for ethnic students to commit themselves to studying and moral cultivation, whatever it takes to contribute to national construction and defense.”
He asked for improvement in educational services, universal education for children from five years of age to secondary school, and an upgrade of boarding and semi-boarding ethnic schools.
