The awards are presented annually by the Vietnam Federation of Civil Engineering Associations, the Vietnam Association for Architects, the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union, and the Ministry of Construction to encourage students' creativity and passion for research.

The awards acknowledged 58 projects, selected from a total of 189 graduation projects from 23 universities nationwide.
