The seminar was held by the Ministry of Defense and the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education to mark 60 years since the opening of the historic Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea (23/10/1961-23/10/2021).
The seminar affirmed that the policy of building a strategic supply trail at sea is a great success in directing the resistance war against the US for national salvation. Participants analyzed and drew lessons to apply on Vietnam's military art and training in the new period.
The event fostered patriotism, honored the great contributions and sacrifices of generations of cadres and soldiers of the "ships without number" who made a glorious part in the national history.
Colonel Nguyen Van Sau, Vice President of the Military History Institute of Vietnam, said that the organizing board received 82 presentations and opinions of historical witnesses, including representatives from the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff, the General Department of Politics, military General Departments, military zones, and the armed forces as well as non-military speakers.
