This is the first official visit to Vietnam by Mr. Kim Jin Pyo since he took office in July 2022 and the first visit by a Korean senior leader to Vietnam after the two countries upgraded relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in December 2022.
After the welcome ceremomy, the two leaders will hold talks and then attend the inaugural ceremony of the Vietnam - Korea Institute of Science and Technology in Cau Giay district, Hanoi.
During his visit to Vietnam Speaker Kim Jin Pyo meets with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. From January 12-15, he visited Ho Chi Minh City and Ninh Binh province.
