No Vietnamese casualties reported in Burkina Faso attacks

(VOVworld) – Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Le Hai Binh told reporters on Saturday that “Vietnam is concerned and condemns repeated terror attacks in recent days, particularly in Burkina Faso on January 15, which killed and wounded many people. We would like to share the losses with families of the victims and believe that the culprits will be properly punished.”

Mr. Binh said “the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has assigned the Vietnamese embassy in Morocco  and Burkina Faso to contact local relevant agencies to find out if any Vietnamese citizen is affected by the attacks. The Vietnamese embassy in Morocco said that no Vietnamese casualties have been reported so far. The Foreign Ministry has asked the embassy to closely follow the situation and will devise emergency measures to help and ensure the safety of Vietnamese citizens in Burkina Faso.”
