Huong Son, Huong Khe, and Vu Quang districts of Ha Tinh province suffered severe flooding, resulting in several isolated areas, hundreds of hectares of inundated crops, power outages, landslides, and traffic congestion. Hundreds of people were evacuated.

Nguyen Van Viet, Vice Chairman of the Huong Khe People’s Committee, said: "The steering committees for flood and storm prevention and control at all levels are on round-the-clock duty to minimize rain and flood damage with special attention given to the dam system. We’ve launched engine-boats to provide a swift response when necessary. A number of engine-boats were dedicated to search and rescue operations".

Nghe An province bore the brunt of the downpour and flooding in the past 2 days, which hit its southern districts hardest. Travel was banned in flooded areas for safety reasons.
