Nghe An calls for investment in LNG power project

(VOVWORLD) - The Department of Industry and Trade of the central province of Nghe An on Sunday met with investors who have shown their interest in a 2 billion USD LNG power plant and provided them with information related to the project.

Located in Hoang Mai township, the 1,500-MW Quynh Lap power plant is one of the key projects for national power development during the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050. It is expected to begin commercial operation before 2030.

With a total investment of more than 2 billion USD, the facility will comprise an LNG-fired power plant, a gas terminal, a dyke and a receiving terminal.
