The deputies agreed to organize a national referendum on key issues to promote people’s power, national unity, and social consensus. The Constitution and the Law on the Organization of the National Assembly define those that issues relating to the Constitution and of national importance that should be open to public comment.
Bui Manh Hung is a deputy of Binh Phuoc: “Key issues can have a strong impact on the national situation and socio-economic development, and concerns everyone. When a referendum is hold, it’s important to fully inform people about the issues and options, so that they can make active and responsible decisions.”

The drafting of the Law on Referendum aims to specify the 2013 Constitution and clarify the legal system. The bill will be voted for approval at the current 10th session.
