The Program was recently approved by the Prime Minister to improve Vietnam’s status in mathematics. Under the Program, Vietnam will strive to double the number of papers it published in world-recognized magazines in the previous decade. By 2030, Vietnam wants to have 400 doctors of mathematics, applied mathematics, and statistics. 80% of high school math teachers and university math lecturers will be trained to teach the reformed syllabus approved in 2018. Math content will be uploaded to the digital Vietnamese knowledge system, an ambitious Wikipedia-like portal tailored for Vietnamese.
