(VOVworld)-Construction of the Vietnam Laos revolutionary relic has begun with a ground breaking ceremony in Son La province today/ Tuesday. The relic marks the revolutionary activities of Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Secretary General Kaysone Phomvihane in Son La from 1948 to 1950. Thanks to local people’s efforts, the Lao’s revolutionary leader was supported and his activities were kept secret, which were foundation for later success in Lao’s revolution. The relic has become a national heritage with historic and cultural value to foster bilateral relations between Vietnam and Laos. It is located on a 3,500 square meter area including a monument house and statue. National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung was addressing the ground breaking ceremony: “Relevant agencies have completed preparation for the recognition of the relic as national class heritage on the occasion of our anniversary to celebrate the 50^th diplomatic ties and 30^th Friendship and Cooperation Treaty. I wish that the special solidarity and traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos will be forever and develop comprehensively.”
