“The forum is a chance for cooperatives and state agencies and associations to discuss opportunities, challenges, and arising issues in developing the collective economy and cooperatives. This is also a venue for cooperatives and businesses to enhance connectivity, seek partners, and share technology,” Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung told the event which drew 500 delegates nationwide.
“Cooperatives are the core of the collective economy. The government aims to improve the performance of the collective economy and increase its ratio in Vietnam’s GDP,” said Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue.
Vietnam now has 24,000 cooperatives with about 6 million members.
