(VOVWORLD) - Lawmakers on Friday debated a number of laws and approved a resolution on the 2019 State budget estimates.

 In the morning, deputies heard a report on the draft Law on Preventing and Combating the Harmful Effects of Alcohol and Beer.

Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien said the bill contains regulations to reduce alcohol and beer consumption, regulate supply sources, and impose restrictions on agencies, organizations, and individuals.

In its verification report, the National Assembly’s Committee for Social Affairs proposed a ban on forcing others to consume alcoholic, allowing people under 18 years old to consume wine or beer, or using children under 18 for wine or beer production or trading activities.

The legislators also discussed a draft Law on Cultivation.

In the afternoon, they voted to approve a resolution on the 2019 State budget estimates.
