(VOVWORLD) -The Q&A session as part of the 14th session of the 15th National Assembly Standing Committee began on Wednesday with issues under the management of the public security ministry.

Deputies asked questions on state management over cybersecurity, the safety of national cybersecurity system in the current period, and measures to prevent and strictly handle high-tech crimes.

Minister To Lam talked about plans to combat cybercrime as personal information has been compromised and traded online.

“The Ministry will finetune legal framework on cyber security and instruct ministries and provinces to set the bar higher while setting up a task force on national cyber security. Further detection and prevention of cyber security threats will be made to tackle high-tech and cybercrimes,” Minister To Lam said.

Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung added that decrees on cross-border platforms will be issued this quarter to enhance law enforcement. The Ministry has established a national cyber space safety center to ensure early detection of misinformation. It has drafted a directive to prevent spams.

Minister of Culture, Sports and tourism, Nguyen Van Hung, spoke about measures to boost tourism industry recovery after the pandemic. “The industry has suffered serious loss due to the pandemic though we have seen positive development especially in domestic tours. It’s still a challenge to attract foreign tourists. It takes time to reconnect with traditional clients and cooperate with relevant agencies to ensure best service to travelers.”

The Ministry will improve capacity building with national vocational standards to prepare sufficient staff for the industry, he added.

Concluding the session, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue praised the practical and responsible responses from the Ministers and asked the government to improve the issues raised by deputies.
