NA Standing Committee convenes its 9th sitting

The meeting consists of two phases, with the first from March 10 to 16 and the second from March 22 to 25.

The committee will hold a question-and-answer session with Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha and Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien.

In his opening speech, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said: "The question and answer session of the NA proved as an effective, direct oversight activity which has enhanced creativity and reforms of legislative activities. The Q&A session meets people’s aspiration and demand for building a law-governed socialist state of the people, by the people and for the people."

On Thursday, the NA Standing Committee agreed to adopt a Resolution on procedures of sending drug addicts aged 12 to 18 to compulsory rehabilitation centers.
