In five years, the National Assembly and its standing committee have promulgated 69 laws and ordinances, many of which are fundamental to the national legal system.

In Wednesday meeting, the NA Standing Committee deliberated the establishment of four urban wards in Dong Trieu town, Quang Ninh province, Kinh Mon town in Hai Duong province, and Sa Pa town in Lao Cai province.

The committee gave opinions on reports by the government, the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuracy on their settlement of public complaints and denunciations this year.
