NA relieves State Vice President, NA Standing Committee members

(VOVWORLD) - The National Assembly (NA) voted by secret ballot to relieve  Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh from the position of State Vice President for the 2016 – 2021 tenure on Tuesday morning at its 11th session in Hanoi. After the result was announced, the deputies approved a resolution formally relieving Thinh from the position.

The same day, the deputies voted by secret ballot and approved relieving members of the NA Standing Committee, the chairpersons of several NA committees, the NA Secretary General and the State Auditor General.

The NA heard State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc presenting a nomination list for the legislature to elect the State Vice President. Member of the Party Central Committee and Party Secretary of An Giang province Vo Thi Anh Xuan was nominated to be State Vice President. Participating deputies then discussed in groups the candidacy.
