In the afternoon, they held a plenary discussion on the amended law on credit organizations which was discussed in group on June 5 afternoon.
The 13-chapter, 195-article draft regulates the establishment, organization, operation, special control, re-organization, dissolution and bankruptcy of credit organizations; the establishment, organization and operation of branches of foreign banks, representative office of foreign credit organizations, and other foreign organizations operating in the banking sector; and the settlement of bad debts.
The deputies agreed on the need to revise the law on credit organizations to ensure the safety of the credit system, strengthen the state management, and handle credit organizations with bad performance.
Trinh Xuan An, a deputy of Dong Nai province, said: "In the draft revision, many adjustments are designed to prevent risks for the banking system. This is a very important law. I propose adding other regulations to manage risks."
