National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan (C) visits  Thuan Tan farmers’ club

Ms. Ngan visited Thuan Tan farmers’ club in Tan Thuan Tay commune and Xoai My Xuong Cooperative in Cao Lanh city on Wednesday. She praised the role of agriculture, rural areas, and farmers in national construction and development and pledged support for farmers’ cooperative and club models. Chairwoman Ngan said: “Reality shows that we need a legal framework to develop an agricultural cooperative model. We now have only the Law on Cooperatives and need a separate law on agricultural cooperatives.”

Thuan Tan farmers’ club was established in 2017 with 100 members, who are farmers growing mangoes and ornamental trees.
