Mr. Hue hailed the Academy’s achievements over the years and asked the Academy to step up its review, research, and development of national defense and military security in the new situation.

He said that the Academy should continue to implement the Party Central Committee Resolution on strategy to protect the nation in the new situation, apply our predecessors’ military art and experience in defending the country, and develop military, defense and security theory to advise the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Defense Ministry.

The Academy also needs to grasp the Party's viewpoint on the relationship between socio-economic development and strengthening national defense and security and foreign affairs, and work on solutions to serve socio-economic development and the strengthening of national defense and security throughout the country, Hue added.

NA Chairman Hue highlighted the task of training senior military cadres for Laos and Cambodia and organizing international training courses for defense officials.
