Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who chaired the meeting, said that good preparation brought about a happy, healthy, safe and economic Tet for all.

“An 8.02% growth rate, stable market prices, and goods abundance have ensured a happy and joyful Tet. The fight against corruption has been intensified, garnering a strong welcome from the public,” said Mr. Trong.

The Party leader asked agencies and localities to focus on industrial production, construction and agricultural development, and provide more support to sectors affected by the COVID-19 pandemic like logistics, aviation, tourism, apparel, footwear, and wood production and processing.

Concerted solutions should be rolled out to ensure national security, social order and safety, he said, urging them to intensify the fight against crime, pay more attention to social welfare, and step up the communication work.
