Nearly 400,000 new cases were confirmed in the past 24 hours alone. The US remains the most severely affected country, followed by India and Brazil.
Hungary currently has the world’s highest death rate from COVID-19, with 308 deaths per 100,000 people, followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina with 282 deaths and the Czech Republic with 281deaths per 100,000.
Europe has reported 52.9 million COVID-19 infections and 1.1 million deaths. Europe is followed by Latin America and the Caribbean, North America, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Oceania.
