Addressing the conference on Wednesday, Minister Phung Xuan Nha called for more preventive measures, especially training for teachers in educational psychology and soft skills. Associate Professor, Dr Tran Thanh Nam from the Hanoi National University called for consistent and continuous approach to prevent or intervene. He said: “Comprehensive and consistent approach with participation of all stakeholders should be promoted. Intermediary programs in schools could help create a good rapport. Students should be equipped with critic thinking to oppose and report cases of school violence. School masters should be determined to pursue long-term, transparent and consistent disciplined measures.”

The Ministry of Education and Training has issued 25 documents to prevent school violence and bullying.
