Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) also confirmed that Israeli fighter jets conducted multiple strikes on sites in the south.
The escalation comes less than one week after Israel and Lebanon sent civilian envoys to participate in a military committee overseeing the ceasefire, an effort aimed at meeting US requirements for expanding negotiations under US President Trump’s Middle East peace initiative.
